While some yacht rockers were competing and overcoming disco, Boz Skaggs simply evolved with pop to stay pop. This is another reason why Boz Skaggs deserves one of the top spots in the yacht rock hall of fame. “Jojo” was a gritty nod to the “Broadway” subgenre that started in funk and climaxed with the Bee Gees, who blamed it all on the nights on Broadway.
